Created in 2010 by the merger of AFSSA (French food safety agency) and AFSSET (French Agency for environmental and occupational health safety), l’ANSES est “la plus grande agence de sécurité sanitaire en Europe par son champ de compétence”.
ANSES ensures Eve missions, of expertise, research and reference on a wide field covering human health, health and animal welfare, and plant health. It offers a transversal reading of health issues and thus understands, globally, the exposures to which humans may be subjected through their lifestyles and consumption or the characteristics of their environment, including professional. It responds to requests for expertise and alert the authorities in the event of a health crisis.
